Passports

Passport section

This Section is committed to providing efficient Passport and Nationality related services to British citizens in Kenya. We renew expired passports, replace Lost/Stolen Passports and issue new Passports to entitled British Citizens and their eligible children.
Applicants should make sure they meet all passport application requirements before sending in their applications. Incomplete applications will be returned to the applicant at his/her expense

Processing Times

Applications delivered personally to the Passport Section take an average of 10 working days to process while postal applications might go beyond the 10 day limit owing to time lost during postage.
First applications or those for replacement of Lost/Stolen Passports may take longer time owing to the fact that we have to confirm applicants' eligibility details, more often than not, with the Passport agency in the UK

Expired Passports

Expired Passports will be cancelled and returned. We cannot unite them to new Passports or transfer visas or residence stamps to new Passports. The authorities of the countries concerned must do this. If your previous Passport is more than 10 years old, your application could be treated as a first application and you may be asked to produce full supporting documentation.
