OPENING HOURS

Our Passport Section is committed to providing efficient passport andnationality related services to British citizens in Kenya. We renewexpired passports, replace lost/stolen passports and issue newpassports to entitled British Citizens and their eligible children.

The Passport Section of the British High Commission in Nairobi is open to the public from 07:45 to 14.00 Monday to Thursday for all services. Please note that the Section is closed on Friday (except for emergencies).

Making an application

Applicants should make sure they meet all passport application requirements before sending in their applications. Incomplete applications will be returned to the applicant at his/her expense.

Completed applications should be sent, or brought in, to the Passport Section at the address below.

Processing Times

Applications delivered personally to the Passport Section take an average of 10 working days to process. Postal applications might go beyond the 10 day limit owing to time lost during postage.

First applications or those for replacement of lost/stolen passports may take longer as we have to confirm applicants' eligibility details, more often than not, with the Passport Agency in the UK.
